Our Story
Hello, my name is Stylianos Stavridis and I am the founder of Weinliste.
Even though wine has always been a part of my life, my professional journey in Wine and Tourism began over a decade ago.
And took me all the way from my native Athens to Vienna.
Along the way, I acquired multiple wine-related qualifications (including a certificate from the famous Wine and Spirit Education Trust, the Austrian Wine Academy, and a degree in Environmental sciences).
Since day one, my favourite thing about wine has never changed:
“Wine brings people of all backgrounds together! “
However, in 2018, an exciting idea “took root” in my imagination:
“What if I could share the very best Greek wines with Austrian wine lovers?”
And so, I spent the next four years making countless trips all around Greece. I connected with every Greek wine producer I could meet.
Eventually, Weinliste was born!
Not only did Weinliste allow me to share my passion for Greek wine with other wine lovers; it helped me reconnect with my Greek roots, too.
Walking through Greece’s colourful wine regions was quite emotional. Not to mention, meeting with the talented wine experts who dedicate their lives to producing world-class wines.
And today, I want to share their labor of love with you.
As someone else, wiser than myself, once said: “It's not the destination that matters, but the journey”.
And I am honoured you chose to join me on this journey.
